Brendan Mouatt is a practising Accredited Exercise Physiologist, a clinical researcher with the Persistent Pain Research Group, and CEO of The Neuro Orthopaedic Institute (Noigroup) in Adelaide, a company translating pain science into clinical practice. His research explores the influence of beliefs, behaviours, and virtual reality on pain recovery, body and environmental perception, and healthcare utilisation, including how clinical interactions, practitioner beliefs, and treatment explanations shape patient mental health and health-related behaviours. Brendan teaches in tertiary bachelor’s and master’s programs and delivers continuing education in pain, health, and exercise science to clinicians internationally.
