Dr Carolyn Murray

Adelaide University

    Dr Carolyn Murray is a senior lecturer in teaching and research at Adelaide University with expertise in qualitative inquiry, and the lived experiences of care quality for people with dementia, stroke and brain injury. Her research spans aged care, allied health and lifestyle programs, and the use of creative, and cognitive stimulation approaches to enhance quality of life for people with neurological conditions and their caregivers. Her work focuses on health workforce development and sustainability, and the evaluation of group programs that strengthen social connection, engagement and well being.

    Dr Murray coordinates research honours across allied health at Adelaide University and is a member of the IIMPACT research concentration. She is an associate editor for the Australian Occupational Therapy Journal, has published over 60 outputs and supervises PhD, Masters and Honours students. Her methodological expertise includes qualitative meta synthesis, thematic analysis, and scoping reviews. She regularly delivers workshops on qualitative methods.
