Prof. Joanne Kemp

La Trobe University

    Joanne Kemp is a Professor and the deputy director at the La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia. She is the lead of the centre’s hip pain research program and the academic director of the La Trobe University clinical trials platform. She is also a Sport & Exercise Physiotherapist of 30 years’ experience, fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists and editor at the British Journal of Sports Medicine. She has >170 publications and >$15 million research funding. Her research program is focused on the management of hip pain in adults, especially interventions that can slow the progression and reduce the symptoms associated with hip pain and early hip osteoarthritis.
