Sally Mastwyk

    Sally Mastwyk is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at La Trobe University with 15 years of experience in physiotherapy education. After many years as an APA-titled Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, she has recently pivoted her focus through her PhD studies, investigating the recognition and management of metabolic syndrome in primary care physiotherapy practice. This work reflects her growing commitment to expanding the role of physiotherapists in early identification and lifestyle-based intervention for chronic disease prevention. With a strong interest in evidence translation and preventive health, Sally is passionate about equipping clinicians with the skills to address the broader determinants of wellbeing. She is about to commence accreditation in Lifestyle Medicine through the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine, extending her focus on holistic, person-centred approaches to healthcare.
