Assistant Professor Luke McCarron is an Occupational Therapist and Hand Therapist with clinical, academic, and research experience in upper limb rehabilitation. He is an Assistant Professor at Bond University and founder of Upper Limb Education, which delivers practical, evidence-based professional development courses for Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists with a special interest in hand therapy.
He holds a Master of Science in Hand Therapy (University of Derby) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Griffith University), which examined rehabilitation following triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) foveal repair surgery. He is a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and an Accredited Hand Therapist (AHT) (Australian Hand Therapy Association).
Luke has authored or co-authored over twenty peer-reviewed publications in the past five years, focusing on hand and wrist injury, surgical rehabilitation, and improving research capacity and culture.
