Dr Margarita Tsiros

    Dr Margarita Tsiros is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy and CoDirector of the IIMPACT in Health Research Concentration at Adelaide University. With more than 23 years’ experience as a clinician, researcher and educator, Margarita has strived to optimise outcomes for children – helping them to move well and move more, particularly those living with overweight or obesity. 

    A leader in paediatric physiotherapy innovation, Margarita recently launched the awardwinning Healthy Moves physiotherapy studentled clinical service with Adelaide University Health Clinics. This innovative program supports children and youth above a healthy weight through accessible, evidencebased care, empowering families to achieve healthy, active living. 

    Margarita’s work has been recognised nationally. She has been named an Australian AMP TomorrowMaker, acknowledging the positive community impact of her research. She has also received a Women’s Excellence in Research Award and a Tall Poppy Science Award, reflecting the breadth and influence of her work.
