Dr Margie Olds is a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist based in Auckland, New Zealand, with a clinical and research focus on shoulder instability and return to sport. She completed her PhD on risk factors and long-term outcomes following traumatic anterior shoulder dislocation and has published widely in international journals including the British Journal of Sports Medicine. Margie combines clinical practice with teaching and research, and regularly presents internationally on shoulder rehabilitation and return-to-sport decision making. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between traditional rehabilitation and the real demands of sport by integrating control, capacity and confidence into rehabilitation programmes. She is the director of the Auckland Shoulder Clinic and founder of Flawless Motion, a shoulder brace company focused on supporting athletes returning to activity after instability. Margie is passionate about translating research into practical strategies clinicians can use to improve outcomes for patients with shoulder instability.
